With the third lockdown now in place, the importance of working from home, if possible, is clear.
However, with a workforce scattered like this, cyber security risks increase.
Minimising this risk is obviously crucial. But finding the time to think about it can be another story…
So, we’re delighted to be able to point you to some training material for staff provided by the UK government’s NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre).
It’s completely free and takes less than 30 minutes to complete!
Here it is:
NCSC’s new cyber security training for staff now available – NCSC.GOV.UK
We’ve had a little look, and reckon it’s got some handy little nuggets of information to help your staff do their part to keep your business secure online.
It’s easy to use and has a non-technical audience in mind.
It would take 30 minutes to work through in total, but it’s split into 2 parts. The first part takes 20 minutes, and consists of several short videos (about 2 minutes each), plus some summarising, and fun activities in between to re-inforce the messages. The second part is just 10 minutes long, and is a short knowledge check.
However, you can use the information in whatever way works for you and your business. So it’s very manageable to slot a 2 minute video into your staff meeting, or ask staff to look through a small portion at a time. Use it as you see fit!
