We’ve renewed our Cyber Essentials certification!

We are pleased to announce the renewal of our Cyber Essentials certification, as part of our continuous improvement and commitment to excellent online security standards.

Cyber Essentials certificationCyber Essentials is a UK Government scheme for organisations to demonstrate that they have taken the necessary basic precautions to protect themselves against the risks of operating online.

In January 2016, the scheme took a major step forward when the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced that all suppliers must obtain Cyber Essentials to be able to undertake certain contracts.

datamills (UK) Ltd first gained certification in September 2017, and we are delighted to have renewed this for a second year.  Managing director, Andrew Mills, said “We are pleased to have renewed our certificate.  We see this as a vital part of business in the 21st century, showing that we treat our clients’ data with respect and in a trustworthy manner, especially in the light of GDPR”.

Further details on the Cyber Essentials Scheme are available from the official website.

Since receiving our own Cyber Essentials certification last year, we have worked with several other businesses to help them to achieve the standard too.
