As we come to the end of an eventful year, and look ahead to 2024, we have exciting plans afoot at datamills!
Amongst the projects we have in the pipeline is some automation work to streamline some of our more repetitive tasks in the office.
Automating business processes can help save time, improve efficiency, and reduce costs. Here are some of the potential benefits to automating business processes:
- Decrease the wasted time that you and your employees spend on repetitive and time-consuming tasks
- Free up time spent on manual processes to focus on other tasks
- Improve your employees’ morale and job satisfaction by automating recurring tasks that can get boring
- Ensure that critical processes are done quickly with no mistakes
- Enhance workflow efficiencies
- Increase accuracy and consistency in operations
- Reduce employee turnover
Joining us to provide the specialist know-how for some of these projects, we have James Brown of Power Insight Solutions. We’ve been very happy to welcome James to the datamills team, and he’s been a great asset already.
What sort of things are we automating?
Well, there are a lot of tasks, such as receiving deliveries of stock and assigning them to the correct customer job, which can take a lot of admin time. It’s these sorts of things that we want to automate. But don’t worry, all the technical expertise is still going to be coming from actual people – real humans – the team here at datamills aren’t going anywhere – it’s not possible to replace knowledge and experience with automation, however good AI gets!
We are also looking to expand our tech team, so if you know anyone who you think might be a good fit, put us in touch! We’re looking for someone with excellent problem-solving skills, who works well in a team, and who wants to work in the office (perhaps with some travel to clients – a driving license is a definite bonus).
