In January we were sad to see Jamie leave for pastures new. It’s been great having him as part of the team, and we wish him all the best in his new position, and for his future.
We’ve been feeling a little thin on the ground since Jamie went, but thankfully we haven’t had to wait too long to find someone to fill the gap…
With this in mind, we are very excited to be able to present our newest team member Mark, shown here working over Zoom on the recent snow day:
Mark has worked in IT for over 15 years, even running his own computer repair shop for some time. A gamer and Arsenal fan, Mark says that the thing he most enjoys about working in IT is the satisfaction of fixing a customer’s problem for them.
He has had an exciting first week at datamills – with snow forcing a WFH day before he’d even completed a full week! He’s hit the ground running though – building, repairing, trouble-shooting and contacting customers already. If you haven’t spoken with Mark yet, many of you will be meeting him / speaking to him on the phone over the next weeks and months.
When I asked Mark what his favourite thing was about working at datamills, he said that it just felt like a “good fit” for him – that the datamills way of approaching things sat well with him – it was the way he would deal with things if he was deciding how to go about them. Which sounds to me like good news all round – we hope you’ll agree!
