Having been recently hit with the (somewhat devastating) news that the collaboration tool we currently use is coming to an end….. yikes!!…. we started to look around at what else was out there.
We found that there is a lot to choose from, but ClickUp was a name that kept popping up – several people recommended it. We started having a look at what ClickUp has to offer…. and we’re really liking what we see!
For giving it a try, there’s a free plan. And in fact, the free plan has no time limit on it, and offers unlimited projects and unlimited users. It genuinely does offer a wide range of project management features at no cost. Depending on your requirements, you may not have to use a pay-for plan at all.
Which is not a bad start!

- ClickUp is a cloud-based collaboration and project management tool.
- Features include communication and collaboration tools, task assignments and statuses, alerts and a task toolbar.
- Users can assign comments and tasks to specific team members or groups of team members.
- Comments and tasks can be marked as resolved or in progress, or users can create custom statuses.
- Projects can be viewed from an Agile dashboard or organized by assignee.
- The activity stream displays tasks as they’re created and completed in real time.
- Users can configure notifications to be sent only for specific items.
- The mentions feature alerts users when another team member names them in a discussion, and comments can be edited after posting.
