This time last year, GDPR had just become law, and everyone was talking about it.
Would we have to re-think the whole way our business worked?
Would we drown under mountains of paperwork and consent forms?
Would we get huge fines (or go to prison) if we made a mistake?
But, now, a year on, with everything a lot quieter, what is the reality of the situation? This is the question being asked by Howells Solicitors at the upcoming workshop:
“Managing GDPR and Data Security in your Business”
This event is being led by Clare Fowler, Head of Employment and Discrimination at Howells LLP. Aimed at owners and managers of SMEs, marketing professionals, HR professionals or anyone managing a team or department, Clare is seeking to identify what GDPR actually means for businesses now. Clare herself will be speaking from a legal point of view, and Andrew Mills, MD here at datamills (UK) Ltd, is the invited Cyber Security Specialist.
The workshop is from 8.30am to 10am on Tuesday 25th June 2019 at Howells Solicitors offices on Bridge Street in the centre of Sheffield. It’s free to attend, and open to just one member from your organisation. Hot and cold drinks and a light breakfast will be provided.
