It was with much regret that we said goodbye to Alex Butterell, our chief technician, at the end of March. Alex had been with datamills for over 6 years, and was a fantastic asset to the company. He is greatly missed by staff in datamills and many of our customers too. We wish him all the best as he returns to his old trade as an automotive mechanic, working for Nissan.
We’re very happy to introduce as Alex’s replacement, James Bellamy, who started with us a few weeks before Alex left, to overlap with him. James has many years’ experience in IT, having worked in schools, colleges and businesses, keeping the IT running smoothly and responding to client’s needs. If you haven’t met James yet, you’ll be sure to do so soon. He’s been settling in well with the rest of the team here, and will gradually be meeting more customers as time goes on.
At the beginning of June, Dan also left us, to join his family business. We wish him and his family all the best as they continue the business into the next generation.
To replace Dan, we welcomed Jack Shakeshaft, our new apprentice. He has been here since May, and will be a familiar voice on the ‘phone to many customers already.
Continuity in the office through all the changes, has been provided by Kathryn, Teresa, Zoe, and of course Andrew.
