Digital Cafe is back this autumn, starting on 11th October.
What is Digital Cafe?
For anyone not in the know, the purpose of Digital Cafe is to educate and inform on all things digital. We invite speakers who are experts in their field, and you get to hear them speak, and then pick their brains yourself… All over a good cup of coffee!
What are the topics?
The hot topic this season is digital marketing. Sessions include how to get your website (the central hub of all your online presence) right. We also look at using Facebook and LinkedIn as a powerful part of your marketing strategy. Then there’s how to use video to bring all of these alive.
We also have a session on data security and GDPR (now law) for those still coming to grips with what that means for their business.
What’s on when?
The schedule is as follows:
- Thursday 11th October 2018 – Marketing using Facebook/Instagram – Rik Courtney
- Thursday 25th October 2018 – Using Video in your online marketing – Tony Richardson
- Thursday 8th November 2018 – GDPR and Cyber Essentials – Andrew Mills
- Thursday 22nd November 2018 – Websites – Cliff Hewson
- Thursday 13th December 2018 – Marketing using LinkedIn – Rik Courtney
Where is it?
We’ll be in a new venue this autumn – Upstairs@PJ Taste. This meeting venue is hosted by local catering company, PJ Taste, who have excellent reviews for their food and service, so you may even want to look at their menu, and grab some lunch on your way out… Click on the links above for full address and map.
What happens at Digital Cafe?
The sessions will follow the usual format. We start at 10am with coffee and the speaker. After the presentation, there is time to get practical, with your own questions, and often a chance to try things out for yourself (bring a laptop or other device). Digital cafe can also be a networking opportunity, so come prepared with business cards.
