Once again we’re out and about trying to inform and educate on the subject of cyber security!  This time, we’ve been invited to speak alongside the Regional Cyber Crime Unit, WorldPay, NatWest bank and Ironmonger Curtis solicitors at an event called “Keeping Your Business Safe From Scams”.

When and where?

The event is on Thursday 22nd February 2018, from 9.30am until 2.00pm.  It is a local event, to be held at 1 St Paul’s Place in the heart of Sheffield.  It is free to attend, and has been organised by NatWest bank to support local businesses.

Keeping Your Business Safe From Scams

The day promises to be very useful and informative, with tips and insights into keeping your business safe from financial and other types of cyber crime.  You should be able to leave fully equipped after hearing what these professionals have to say on the matter:

  • banks
  • card-payment machine providers
  • the Police
  • computer companies
  • solicitors

Particular emphasis will be made on understanding the impact of the new GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations), and on your business responsibilities regarding the new regulations.  Make sure you’re prepared for the introduction of the GDPR in May this year.  This is the ideal opportunity to hear all you need to know from professionals in law, policing, computing and finance – all together in one place for you.
